What do I use for content creation?

Hi, I’m Ash, an English girl who loves to travel. My ultimate life goal is to watch the sunset in every country in the world!

what to use for content creation

Camera

My go-to camera is the Canon M50 mark ii. I absolutely love this camera as it's very user-friendly. It has a pretty amazing auto-shoot mode, but you still get the options to manually adjust the settings as you learn and improve.
At the moment my favourite lenses include the XX for wide-angle shots, and the XX for close-ups/portraits!

I also found these amazing lens cases which are super cheap on Amazon. These were perfect for me as I don't like carrying round an additional camera bag, so I usually end up putting my camera in my day bag or backpack.

Drone

I recently upgraded to the new DJI Mini 4 Pro and WOW, the video quality is incredible. The footage is amazingly clear.

If you're just starting out with learning how to use a drone, I would probably recommend one of the older/cheaper versions, but if you are planning to use the footage for social media then definitely go for the DJI Mini 4 Pro.

One of the main selling points for me was the fact that you can shoot in portrait or landscape mode, compared to some of the older models where landscape is the only option. You can crop your landscape videos but obviously you will reduce the quality.

Action / Underwater shots

The Go Pro Hero 12 is the best if you’re wanting to shoot underwater or more 'point of view' videos. The footage really makes you feel like you're actually there re-living the moment!

If you want to get some of those incredible half in, half out, water shots then you'll need to purchase a dome. I got this dome from Amazon, which came with an orange handle that floats in the water. This makes the go pro much easier to see if you do accidentally let go of the handle.
